LEICESTER FASHION WEEK 2018 DESIGNER WINS BBC APPRENTICE
The business-styled BBC reality game show, THE APPRENTICE final 2018 saw one of Leicester Fashion Week participating designers become the ultimate winner of this year’s series. Sian Gabbidon’s Sian Marie label showcased their collection at our show on the 11th November at the glamorous The City Rooms.
Gabbidon, 26, from Leeds, came out victorious after battling through 12 weeks of tasks and facing off 14 other candidates
The luxury affordable swimwear designer beat rival candidate Camilla Ainsworth in the final of this year’s series to secure Sir Alan Sugar’s £250k business investment.
“I am just absolutely over the moon that I have won this investment and will be working with Lord Sugan”, said Sian, speaking at the end of the show.
“I love what I do, I love fashion and to put us together is going to be ridiculous.
The final saw both contenstents pitch their business ideas to Lord Sugar and 200 business experts in City Hall, London including a new brand, producing a digital screen and TV advert. For Sian, it was her luxury but affordable swimwear range – titled SYO Swim, and for Camilla – her MLK It ‘nut milk’ product.
She identifies with Coco Chanel as a role model in business, as she ‘came from nothing and worked her way to the top’.
Congratulations to Designer Sian Gabbidon from everyone at LFW. We’re so very happy for such a wonderful lady.
